Liability for links

In its judgment 312 O 85/99 - "Liability for links" - dated 12 September 1999, the Regional Court of Hamburg [Landgericht Hamburg] ruled that the incorporation of a link to another website into one's own website may entail accepting a share of the responsibility for the content of the website concerned. The court ruled that this can only be prevented by explicitly disclaiming responsibility for that content.
